The DTS 320 NVIS was especially designed by Instrument Systems to test displays and panels according to MIL-L-85762A and MIL-STD-3009. It was designed to be a high performance system, based on the Spectro 320, the high performance scanning spectroradiometer. It incorporates the TOP 200 telescopic optical probe and a cooled PMT3 photomultiplier.

This system is best suited as a reference system. The DTS 320 NVIS has been chosen as the spectroradiometer of choice for a number of well-known test laboratories and the military aviation industry. It is exceptionally sensitive which permits measurements of NVIS radiance down to 0.01 fL. The DTS 320 NVIS is also the only spectroradiometer available that is capable of accurately determining the NVIS black radiance of the modern LCD displays found in glass cockpits.

With exceptional signal sensitivity and a high scan speed the DTS 320 NVIS can determine the NVIS radiance (NR-A, NR-B, and NR-C) accurately within a minute. Cooling the photomultiplier to -5 degrees Celsius internally is standard on the DTS 320 NVIS, which means that it can handle mobile applications. An additional add on option that will provide external cooling to -10 degrees Celsius is also available to help reduce signal noise.

  • The DTS 320 NVIS Spectroradiometer was designed by Instrument Systems for those who are engaged in testing LCD displays in accord with MIL-L-85762A
  • Panels in accord with MIL-STD-3009
  • Allows for the internal cooling of the photomultiplier to as low as -5 degrees Celsius
